Connecting at Shaping Birmingham’s Future Together Marketplace

What a bright and inspiring morning it was for our very own Luke Tatchell and Ibraheem Mustafa last week, who represented the team at the Shaping Birmingham’s Future Together Marketplace at Saltley Wellbeing Centre.

Under the sunshine, they engaged with local charities, organisations and changemakers who are all working to strengthen the Birmingham community. It’s always fantastic to see meaningful local collaboration in action and this event was a great reminder of how vital it is to stay connected to the communities we serve

Honouring VE Day. 80 Years of Peace

On May 8th, we paused to reflect on the 80th anniversary of VE Day, a powerful moment in history marking the end of World War II in Europe.

VE Day reminds us of the courage, unity and immense sacrifice made by a generation who gave so much. It’s an opportunity to honour the past, appreciate the present and remain inspired by the strength and resilience shown by those who came before us.

Thank you to all who served and sacrificed. We remember you.

Reconnecting With Old Friends

Finally, a heartfelt moment of reflection as Hatim caught up with long-time friends Zahoor Ahmed, Steve Small, Wayne Fox and Jatinder Baines, colleagues from his early career at Sanderson Computers (1988–1995).

Those early days were challenging, but the relationships formed during that time helped shape the journey that led to Smart Web Design Agency and beyond. From work stories to laughter and nostalgia, it was a beautiful reminder of how far we’ve come and how friendships built on shared growth really do last a lifetime.
